The fee for Napa Tennis Escape is $529 per person. No payment is due at the time of registration.  You will be notified within 24 hours if there is space available and a non-refundable registration fee of $199 will be due within 10 days. Payment instructions will be sent when notified of space available. Payment can be made by Zelle, check, or Venmo. If payment is not received within 10 days, your spot may be given to another player. Remaining balance of $330 will be due by June 15, 2025.

Napa Tennis Escape is a tennis event at the beautiful Silverado Resort in Napa, CA. The entry fee for this 3 day event includes the following:   

• 3 days of tennis

• Napa Tennis Escape swag

• Tuesday lunch at tennis courts

• Light refreshments and snacks between play

• Wednesday afternoon wine tasting at local winery/home and charcuterie

• All court fees

• Discounted spa services (20%) at newly renovated Silverado Resort Spa

• Discounted rooms (25%) at Silverado Resort

Three rounds will be played all 3 days for all players.* Please plan on playing for at least 3 hours each day. We will be playing 8-game pro sets.

*A player may sit out for one round during the three days. In order not to impact other players, extra players are required in case someone has to drop out due to injury or illness.  Players also like to take a break from time to time

The matches will take place from 9am - 1pm AND 1pm - 5pm. We will alternate which group (3.0/3.5 and 4.0) plays early or late.  

We will be playing at the courts at Silverado, utilizing 5 courts for the morning session, and 5 courts for the afternoon session.

Registration is open and is based on a first come first serve basis.  We recommend registering soon because spots are limited.  Registration takes place by clicking on the link on the home page. You will need to provide the following:

• Your name, email, and phone number

• Playing level (if you are not USTA rated, you can self rate.)

• City/State

Space  is available for 24 players in each division - 3.0/3.5 combo, and 4.0.

You will be placed on a waitlist if all spots are filled.

We would love for you to tell your friends and have them sign up as well, but sign-ups are for individuals and matches will be played with a variety of different partners. There are no team sign-ups.

* If there is a player you are coming with or that you’d really like to play with, please let us know and we will do our best to put you together at least a couple times!

If you are a member at Silverado Resort, you will receive a 15% discount on the entry fee. 

Refunds will not be issued to individual players under any circumstances. However, substitutions for a player can be made at any time.  If the event is canceled by Napa Tennis Escape, payment will be fully refunded.

Players do not need to be USTA members or currently playing USTA. However, we are using USTA ratings as a guideline to keep the tennis competitively fun. If you do not have a USTA rating, you will need to self-rate your skills based on USTA rating guidelines.

Participants must be age 45 or older. You can be 44 and play in the tournament if your birthday occurs on or before December 31 of the calendar year in which you are playing.

There are several airports within an hour’s drive to Silverado Resort. Oakland International, Sacramento International, SFO, and Santa Rosa are all fairly equidistant.  

Yes, it is recommended you have a rental car. 

Breakfast is available at the Silverado Grill as well as the Market at Silverado (grab and go). Both are excellent options and on the property close to the tennis courts. Lunch will be provided at the courts Tuesday, as well as light refreshments and snacks between play. Water is available at the courts but be sure to bring a refillable water bottle.

Play will begin promptly at 9am on Tuesday, Sept. 16. We will meet at the courts before then to go over match details, rules, etc. If you are local, arriving early on the 16th is fine. If you are not local, it is a good idea to arrive sometime Monday, Sept. 15.

At Napa Tennis Escape, we strive to provide an exceptional tournament experience, rain or shine. Due to the nature of event planning and the upfront costs associated with organizing this premier tournament, all entry fees are non-refundable. However, we have established the following rain policy to address potential weather disruptions:

Tournament Format Adjustments Due to Rain

• If rain delays play, we will make every effort to resume matches as soon as conditions allow.

• Matches may be shortened or modified (ie no-ad scoring, super tiebreakers) to accommodate schedule changes.

• If necessary, play may be started earlier or extended into later hours or adjusted to maximize available court time.

• No refunds or credits will be issued due to rain, as all expenses for event planning, facility reservations, and tournament operations remain fixed.
  We reserve the right to make all final decisions regarding scheduling, format adjustments, and venue changes in the event of inclement weather.
